We need to get a special type of planning permission for the North Lincolnshire Green Energy Park called a ‘Development Consent Order’ (DCO). This is because the Energy Recovery Facility will generate more than 50MW of energy. It is therefore classified as a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP).
We need to apply to the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) for the DCO. This is a process managed by the Planning Inspectorate (PINS) – you can find out more by going to their website.

Following the consultation, we are having due regard to all of the comments we receive and preparing our DCO application. This will include a Consultation Report setting out how we have considered the feedback received as part of the consultation.
